I think they ran a conservative game plan for another major reason: to NOT expose the QB or RBs to injury via the option, which has been a major big play move all year. We remember the injury to Dennis Dixon.
As much as I like the Beavs (I really do) I would not put it past a young man to make an extra hard hit, just because, on Darron Thomas or LaMichael James.
