Did you go into Alaska via the Gold Creek route in early 90's? I heard that trail along the creek was a rough route and the Crest Trail was better even if it was 5 miles longer.

Never heard of fly fishing Sprague Lake. That's an interesting thought. I have done good there fishing for walleyes with whatever one wanted to throw at them. I've wanted to get back to Sprague and throw some streamers for walleyes. There's one spot they sort of gang up at close to the resort in the middle of the lake.
