Went to Battle Ground Lake. I got a nice brookie andtwo bows. I got the brookie first on a slip sinker rig with a worm. But after sitting for about an hour with only on fish, i decided to try a fly. My grandpa gave me a few old flys that I have always carried around with me, but never used. So I tied on the fly with a little bobber and a split shot to get the fly out far enough (I was on the dock). I got the two bows that way.
One guy got a big ol' steelhead.
Something that made me mad was there were these four Russians out there that each had two poles and multiple hooks on each line. Not only were they catching lots of fish, but they kept all of them, too. They probably kept ten or fifteen fish over their limit, and they were still there when I left. I would have told the park ranger, but he wasn't there. mad
