To me, there are two parts... The first part is predicting SNOW vs. RAIN. That seems to me to be really F'n hard--a 2 degree swing and you go from genius to jackass.

Then there's the "precip" vs. "no precip" thing. That's generally pretty well understood (and will be better understood in Sept when the new radar on the coast comes online). The exception being the location of the convergence zone, because it's so susceptible to small changes in wind direction.

We've been at 38 degrees here in Bellevue for the better part of the day, and precip is non-existent.
