I'll definately be using powerbait from the shore. I like sherbert (pink/orange mixed) the best, but recently I've been using rainbow (orange, green, yellow) at a year round lake and it has worked equally as well as sherbert. I'll also reel the powerbait in slowly instead of just letting it sit like most people. Reeling it in sometimes works a lot better. Basically you just make one turn of your reel and let it sit for about 10 seconds then make another turn on your reel. This has worked way better for me than just letting it sit. Plus you are doing something.

If the fish are on the surface than I will use a worm under a bobber.
