Beware of internet recipes-- at least for Berkley Power Bait.

The stuff is a closely guarded secret with just a few people who know what's in it. Plus, unless you're a chemist with a fairly extensive lab, you wouldn't be able to re-create the ingredients, much less make the bait itself.

I've been to the lab, interviewed the guys who developed and develop the baits and soft plastics, and there is a LOT of science that goes into the detection of just what exactly it is that makes fish bite. The various formulas are crafted to different species' needs and then tested, both in the lab and in the field.

You can make your own paste bait using a variety of oils or attractants, but it won't be Power Bait, and it won't, in all likelihood, be as attractive to fish.
