HPB... Interesting that you're now asking questions on what flies to take up to Nimpo! Thought you didn't want your babies to grow up to be fly fishers. Have you changed your tune?

Well, I won't be the one to give away the basic fly fishermen secrets...but will leave you with two basic things. One... the weather is behind up in BC, same as it is down here. A fair amount of lakes just got ice free for the opener up there May 1st. And... the end of May is kind of early for out around Nimpo. Even if the lakes are open (and they should be by maybe one week), the roads to the surrounding lakes will be very sloppy and you may need chains and a winch to get around.

The BCadventure forum mentioned will give you good tips on the Nimpo area, but be forewarned the people there mainly fly fish.

When I fished Anahim I used to go the 3rd week of June. Wouldn't consider it as early as you are thinking of.
