A friend of mine used to hang out with Mike but had to eventually severe all ties with him due to the drug lifestyle. Zach knew I was an Alice fan so he introduced me to Mike one night. We were going to attend the Layne Staley benefit show that his mother Nancy puts on every year but when we got to the door at the Showbox, Nancy came out with one of the bouncers and said Mike was forbidden to enter the venue! She was one seriously mad chick so Mike took a cab and we went in.

Kind of an interesting situation to experience.
