I see a lot of guys fishing from Sayres Pits in the afternoon and evening. Usually when I am coming back from fishing for the day. Judging from the location (NW corner of the parking lot) of where they are fishing I would say they are not fishing for trout, probably panfish. I bet if you fished off of one of the docks on the launch side (east side) of the parking lot you might hook into a nice Cutt or Bow. Try a worm and bobber. Powercrack will not work with these large Cutts and Bows. Gotta use natural bait. I would imagine casting spoons and spinners would work also.

I think what Viro Man was refering to was indeed a wedding ring. Try suspending one under a bobber.
