We are getting a lot of calls right now on this symptom in a lot of our other lakes. The warmwater fish and bullheads are having some stress related effects from spawning.

Our pathologist indicated this is a normal aspect of spawning and it is a way that populations maintain themselves when there is too much crowding (as is the case at Swofford Pond with the bullhead die off).
