I didn't follow the UW alcohol thing very well so maybe I shouldn't comment but following Chuck S logic (what's he been convicted of?), if he has NOT been convicted yet (I don't know) and Romar kept him out of the the PAC 10 tournament (again, I don't think he played) then that is at least SOME acknowledgement by the university. The degree of punishment is administered by the school. We saw varying degrees of school administration for wrong doing recently.

The extremes:

WSU-one game suspension on your best player for illegal posession of a controlled substance (don't know if he was convicted or not).

BYU-suspended their second best player for the remainder of the season right before the tournament for having consensual sex with his girlfriend, thereby violoating their honor code.

UW-suspended one of their top players for three games during PAC 10 tournament.

Again I don't know if all the facts are correct but if so, it seems like the UW suspension seems to fit the pretty well with some of the other suspensions handed out by various schools.
