Our military is asked to do some tough jobs and that's one of them in my opinion.
It is better now. Forty years ago it was much, much worse.

It's been about 4 weeks ago. As I was having lunch I noticed a soldier and his date in the restaurant. I paid their ticket on the sly.
Wasn't much, $25 or so. It made me feel good and as I learned about a week later, it made their day as well.
Still, it was nothing at all compared to what they give to us.
