Decided to take a break from chasing trout and do some warmwater species fishing. I hit two of my favorite lakes. Not much happening at the first stop. Saw one smallmouth on a bed. Left him alone and saw no other fish. The first lake is up to 70' deep, so I think the water was still to cold.
Moved to a second lake that has much shallower water. Lots of pre-spawn fish cruising the drop-off edges and shallows. Saw a couple of largemouth on beds. Had my best luck with a brown rubber skirt bunny and a black bunny foam tail.
