Dave, your point's well taken, however the problem with the tests is that they are not compared by crashing one into the other. While a more modern vehicle fares well in wall-crash tests, and the older vehicles (my truck included) do poorly in vehicle/wall crashes, my older, heavier truck will fare quite well (comparitively speaking) in a crash with a smaller, lighter vehicle. (And I haven't had a car payment in quite a few years.....It's hard to not like that!)
