Lake Roosevelt is one of the best winter fisheries I know... trout over 18 inches up to six or seven pounds are common. But you can also catch limits of kokanee in the 3-5 pound size and tons of small walleye as well as some real hogs. There are even some landlocked kings, big perch in places, ling, and the occasional smallmouth. Granted it's cold, and the ramps can be icy, but the fishing is excellent most of the time. I wished I lived closer; I really miss winter on the lake.
