Thank you for contacting the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.



I understand your frustration with this. The problem is that in the Bill it states that the pass is good from 1 year of issuance. We had to develop the system to accommodate the bill as written. This is an issue that we as a department were aware of and our Licensing Manager is looking into this further. At this time is working with Enforcement to see if those individuals that purchased early will be exempted as long as they display the expired pass up until June 30, 2012.



We will be posting information about this once we know more and a decision is made. The Discover Pass website is being updated often so keep your eyes out for any new information available. http://discoverpass.wa.gov/ .
