Hey Carl,

Been looking at your new signature graphic, and couldn't shut up any longer - Coming from a long line of Trauts myself, I'd say that "gator trout" looks alot more like a gator walleye, or gator ling - check out those spiny ray dorsal fins. I know places in the Columbia R. that are loaded w/ gator 'eyes, (near Hanford, especially!), and once had a gator ling on at Neah Bay for over an hour, but didn't have a gun or gaff, so my buddy wouldn't let me lip it into the boat.

Maybe your gator trout is related to the great white shark some guy saw in Puget Sound recently.

Stick with the purebred trout and salmon. smile laugh
