Funny how someone like Stewart is right on - when we agree with him.
AM is right this is not a problem caused by Obama. Yeah, he is just as bad as any before him - maybe worse. But the trail of this mess goes clear back to the 1700s. Reagan and Bush both ran up the debt. Reagan raised the debt ceiling many times - not a whimper from the right. Reagan once said something like - "I'm not worried about the debt - it's big enough to take care of itself."

This is a real problem that needs real strong leaders to solve. I see none in sight. I do see endless political posturing, speechifying and B.S. Where are the leaders on the left or the right?

Any serious attempt to solve this will have to include a BIG cut in expenditures and an increase in revenues. Perhaps we could tax the rich at the level we had before Bush made the deficit so much worse by launching twin wars while cutting taxes for his buddies? The tax rate on those making more than $300,000 AGI would still leave them taxed at one of the lowest rates in the free world. The tea party idiots who go around signing pledges are NOT helping.
