Looks like they finally resigned to cutting bait, which was probably long overdue. When I first learned about the Fister trade, my initial thought was that they had squandered a proven pitcher for more unproven, minor league talent, but upon closer examination, it appears they did pretty well with both the Fister and Bedard trades.

Now we play the waiting game for a couple years while they develop the new talent. Can they get these guys ready for the big time before the stud arms they have left start heading for greener pastures via free agency?
