Here's my report from last Friday and Saturday; 8 fish first day, 12 fish 2nd day. The fish checker said people were averaging two fish per person. I thought it'd be more. Anyways, we skewed the averages.

We launched about 7:30 each morning up at the Everett marina. Had lures in the water by 8 and didn't have to wait long for the first fish. Friday I had three fish in the fish box in the first 20 minutes. I was hot.

We used white flashers and I eventually switched to a small green hotspot flasher. We used the flame red mini-squids tied on about 20 inches of leader. One guy tried the bigger squid but he didn't have the same luck the rest of us did with the mini-squids.

We fished a flat line with a 4 oz sinker, a downrigger around 30-40 feet and one further down at 55-60 feet. The deeper downrigger had a edge in fish catching. I think what made the difference for us was using herring scent smelly jelly on the squid and flasher. I had the hot rod both days until the other fisherpeople started applying it to their offerings.
