Mike: Thanks for missing the post and thanks for leaving it on. There certainly IS a value in educating the baitchucking public that C&R with bait is not cool and in fact illegal if done beyond the legal limit number for the lake.

I occasionally fish some baitchuckers " jerk and fry" lakes every year. In addition to sickening displays of garbage disposal in the lake, I observe increasing numbers of baiters who "catch and release " (to die mostly) little planter 8-10" trout with big baitholder hooks or those nasty little powerbait trebles.
I don't know if they are unaware that what they are doing is illegal or just don't give a damn. Lets assume at least some are unaware and bring them the message every time the topic comes up.
DON"T C&R WITH BAIT.....EVER. You are breaking the law if you go beyond your 5 fish. AND you are KILLING the sport that we all enjoy so much.
