I have never fished for walleyes before, but they hold a magic for me from way back. I have old reel to reel black and white movies of my grandfather in Canada catching some real whoppers. Anyway, I know that quite a few lakes have walleye as well as the Columbia River. I also know that most of the fishing occurs from late winter/spring on out. I was wondering if anyone has ever fished Alkalai Lake across the road from Lenice. Supposedly it has walleyes in it. Also, has anyone fished Lake Billyclap for walleye? Can you catch them very effectively now or in December and January? Can you catch them off the shore? How do you do it? Inflate a nightcrawler, cast out and slowly retrieve???? I have no idea. How about from a boat and what techniques would you recommend. Plugs, jigs, trolling worms with a spinner blade??? ANy advice would be greatly appreciated. Brass
