HUNTER: i fished mid-banks lake today, with no bites. water temp was 37 on the surface, 36.3 at 50 feet down. there is still a little ice today at the south end, including the coulee city harbor/launch.

along the east shore, sonar fish showed at 10-12 down in 30 feet of water; no sonar returns in shallower places. in 55 feet of water, sonar fish were scattered from 35 feet to the bottom, and surprisingly numerous. along the west wall very few showed up on sonar; the few that did were glued to the underwater talus slopes (maybe smallmouth?).

while the fish seemed to have lockjaw, it was a beautiful day on the lake anyway. there were no other boats visible up or down the lake.

good luck to you!
