Catchercraft uses Maxxon, NRS, and JPW pontoons for the actual inflatable component of the boats, depending on what the customer wants.

Our standard material for the frames is galvanized steel but we also offer aluminum frames if the customer requests it. We have done some comparisons and aluminum costs about 3 times as much for material (but can fluctuate depending on metal prices) and you save about 30% in weight.

For most clients, the savings in weight doesn't make it worthwhile to go with aluminum for a frame material. Galvanized steel has been used for decades and has proven itself, doesn't rust, and is relatively easy to repair, not that it ever needs it. Aluminum has its advantages too. All depends on what the customer wants.

To answer your question, the frame in the picture I posted is galvanized steel.
