He downsized his house from $10million to $3 million sohe has money. He has a standing offer from a Seattle Insurance broker for a min $500k a year job introducing people he knows to the insurance brokers. It's a whine and dine job with about a half dozen ex athletes already working there. They get paid to party basically , they have the dinner/drinks with business principals that want to be seen with the ex athelete . The brokers show up under the guise of being buddies with the athlete for the soft intro and they eventully pitch the princpal insurance (business and or personal.) The ex athelete gets 5 to 10% of the deal for the handshake.

Stock brokers and investment advisors do the same.
