There are many lakes from to choose but the ones in the Methow valley are usually nicer to stay at this time of year, just get to them before the hunters do because alot fill up. Blackpine is one of them it is a neat little lake for sure but come mid oct. it is a base area for alot of hunting areas.

(also it is OkanOgan unless you're going into B.C. then its OkanAgan LOL!!! (locals in the area get frustrated when they see the Can. spelling of it :p ) LOL!!!!!!!!!
