Absolutely, the bullies I delt with in school didn't understand anything else, it worked. When my oldest had issues with a bully in grade school, we talked to the counselors and the vice principal about it and nothing happened. We had always told our son not to fight at school and he never had until I told him to go ahead and defend himself and then I told the vice principal I would support my son if he defended himself and the school chose to expel or give him detention. He did, they did, so my son and I went fishin for three days. He never had trouble with a bully again.
