I haven't fished these spots for eight years, so I can't vouch for them now...but-- Sprague Lake west of Spokane used to have some really large perch, heavy fish over a foot long. The only problem was the big bluegills/crappie/bass/trout that would hit instead.

Long Lake west of Spokane was an excellent perch lake. I launched at the DNR launch on the north side down by the dam and fished the weedbeds. The perch back then weren't so large as those in Sprague, but they were still a decent fillet-able size and when you found the schools, they would hit on every cast (no exaggeration).

Of course, the Potholes in the fall used to be good, but I don't know if it's turned around after the decline in panfish populations.

I'm still looking for a decent perch lake on the westside that doesn't involve driving in Seattle traffic. I have located some potential lakes, but they need further checking.
