Thanks for tips for my daughter. I saw this thread before she asked me and I had to think hard. It's been a boat family since they were toddlers.
I don't like the idea of her hiking in to remote alone. Those were my fav spots. She doesn't have her CW Permit yet. June 1st made a nice difference for opportunities.
Lk Bosworth is close and many other lakes although mostly edged with private properties and poor bank access so I better help restore that old lake boat.
Hey, Dave v...I like the salt bank fishing idea and will have some fun going to a couple spots with her. I laugh when I imagine she'll end up calling me to ask why I'm spending money on fuel and probably limit out before I do.
All fishing parents got to love when their kids grow up and can't stand to wait and just go fishing, tackle boat repairs on their own, work at learning what it takes independantly. Never in her life has she turned down fishing. Cool, it's in her blood and I couldn't be more proud.
She'll be bottom fishing the San Juans with me tomorrow and keeper sturgeon out of Deep River end of the month.
If anyone around Snohomish/Granite Falls wants to help her out, watch out for her when local bank fishing, I'd appreciate it. I'm rarely near home weekends. She a hoot, good people, seriously into fishing, and better at it than she realizes.
Fish On!
