I can't give you a lot of insight on bass in western Washington, especially in the Jefferson/Kitsap counties as I've never done very well, but then I haven't fished here enough to figure it out, either.

However, most of the lowland lakes contain largemouth and a few have smallies. Since you're pretty much a home boy for a while, I'd look at both Kitsap and Long lakes near you. Both have bass. Leland has bass. Teal has bluegills, I've been told, but I can't verify that. Mason is supposed to be good, but I've not fished it. There are a number of lakes in Mason County that also have bass; in fact I've seen a small school (five fish) that had several bass in it over six and maybe even larger. That's one lake I won't divulge...
