That Lamiglas X96 JC is the standard steelhead float rod around here. I would rate it a medium power, it will handle steel & all the smaller salmon like coho, sockeye & pinks.


For chum & kings in bigger water you might get your a$$ handed to you, I'd go w/ a 1265 class rod for the big stuff.

dont do much float fishing, just tired of not having a extra rod when i do. pretty much drift fish, but there are those rare times when i like to toss the float around. somthing for summer and winter steelhead.
