I'm not a Silver fan either but it was fun to hear him get his panties all bunched up.

While it is fun to watch this recruiting stuff, I have never really understood all the hype. LOI day has become this huge thing but no one really talks about the hard part: getting these kids into school. Its probably not too much of an issue at Stanford but lots of these kids throughout the PAC 12 won't qualify.

The other thing that I find kind of stupid is the ranking of recruiting classes. The rankings are based on 'average stars" of players signed. The averages can be skewed by hitting a couple 4/5 star players and not signing as many kids as the rest of the teams. The whole ranking thing is pretty bizaar. Who can possibly accurately project what a 17 year old kid is going to develop into and rating their current performances has to be nearly impossible as well. Case in point: UCLA is always ranked at the top of the conference but they have been awful the last 5ish years.
