To any other tall skinny guys out there... any luck finding properly fitting waders? I'm 6' 4', 175 lbs, size 13 feet. I prefer stocking-foot breathable, but would consider neoprene or boot foot if it's the only way to get a better fit. I'll use them mainly for river fishing for steelhead/salmon/trout.
The main problem I keep running into is this: to get the right size foot, I have to get XL waders or larger, which fit my feet but are huge everywhere else. Tall sizes don't seem to help this problem.
I tried on a few Cabelas brand waders, and they are worse than what I've had in the past. Tried on a pair of Simms and they were a little better. Previously, I've worn pretty cheap breathable waders, and maybe just didn't notice that the foot was a little tight.
Any brands (reasonably priced) or style recommendations would be helpful. I'd like the keep safety in mind as well, and falling in with oversized waders seems like a bad deal, even with a belt.
Thanks.
Yer gonna hafta open the wallet for fitment.
Garden variety brands stick to the common sizes.
Simms I think has the widest ranging size chart.
Check Dan Bailey and Orvis, too.
If that doesn't work they (Simms) do custom, but you need a really fat wallet for that.
