The deer by Colfax are mostly all whitetail so they are bigger than blacktail. There are a few muleys but few and far between and more out in the farmland towards the Snake. Private land access is your best bet as there is hardly any public land but if you don't have hundreds of acres to access the deer can cross the fence and be on the other guys land quick. If you can find land with some timber on it like along the Palouse River that would be a good bet then you might get to chase some birds too. Go Cougs I can smell the roses all ready!!
