i think what he was getting at was everyone trying to get the pontoon project out here was touting the "more local jobs" line, when in reality they brought most of their help in from outside.

one of their guys came into the shop with a bunch of electric pumps a few months ago, these things were pieces of junk from home depot. he wanted them fixed cheap, and said "our guys make $60 an hour...we can't have them working on this stuff".
