Bowfishing is a kick. I used to walk the canals near the tri-cities and shoot them. They can get big! CWUGirl - I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I got suckered in to trying a carp that a friend barbequed and passed off as walleye to me. He had picked the meat off the bones and I actually had seconds. He told me afterwards and I didn't believe him until I saw the carcass. I'm not saying I'll be trying out new carp recipes, but I'd eat it again if he cooked it the same way. The same guy also suckered me into eating a merganser that he told me was a canvasback. One bite and I knew he was messing with me. It tasted more fishy than the carp.
