Dan,

*Popular brands are Fish Traps, Big Hammer, Berkley Gulp, etc.
*Match 4" -5" bodies to heads of 1-1.5oz, hooks 5/0; 6" to heads of 2-2.5oz., hooks 7/0
*Contrasting colro patterns are good; dark back/light body, blues & blacks over glitter & pearl, black back over purple body is a producer too.
*Carry Sharpies to custom color the bodies on the water; red for a 'bloody' belly, black to add a dark back to a light body, etc.
*Carry super glue to mend torn bodies. If a body gets chewed up, take it off, dab some glue in the tears, let it sit for a minute, then you're good to go.
*Place a drop of super glue on the back of the lead head, then slide the body on and squish it up against the glue on the head. This will keep bodies from slipping down the hook. Don't use too much or it will be hard to change bodies on heads.
