I loved that guy.

About twelve years ago I stood in line for hours, with my oldest daughter on my shoulders, for a chance to meet him. I was the last guy of a long line of people at the end of a hot summer day. He shook my daughters hand and smiled but she was bored LONG before that and i told him she doesn't even know who he is... I stood in that line so I could meet him, not her. He said, very matter of factly; "Kid, it has been a long day, I dont really care and I am going home."

He totally blew me off.

What is remarkable though is that I still don't even blame him. It was hot and it was a long line and fans like me are a dime a dozen. I STILL love that guy, I hope he is in a better place now and his family is at peace.

I heard that most of the episodes were lost somehow. it is a shame that kids now won't get the benefit of his zany sense of humor.
