I bought a new gun last week and went out to shoot it Sunday afternoon. Well, it kicked my butt pretty hard. Actually my cheek. I feel like I got into a fight and the gun won.

Question: Can anyone recommend how to go about sizing this gun to fit me? My cheekbone rests on an area of the buttstock that I think may need to be relieved but I'm not about to take a grinder or sander to it. Do gunsmiths do this type of thing? If not them then who?

I've owned several shotguns in my 20+ years of shooting and hunting and have never had this problem. I've shot guns that weren't comfortable but never one that punched me in the cheekbone.

Thanks in advance for the help.
