Found a plump doe 2 weekends ago in one of my dad's old satsop areas. Hadn't been there in years.......boy! did that area get appetizing. I know where I'm going next season. Saw 8 head on the day. This one had a big spike and another doe with her, the latter 2 long gone before a shot could be had on the spike.

Ended up being a 70 yard neck shot......OK so I was aiming behind the shoulder but shooting iron sights, free-standing.....I'll take it! No wasted meat either

I haven't shot many does and normally try to hold out for antlers but she was good sized and it will get me back on the river 2 weeks sooner so no complaints.

Dogfish, do we shoot the same rifle? I use the Remington Model 700ML and the gun in your pic looks the same.
