I don't own one, but I've read up on them some.

I don't see anything that's not to like in the caliber. Ballistically, it's superior to the .338 Win Mag, but you can get it in a short action. Shoots way flat. Packs big punch. They say it's an inherently accurate cartridge. Winchester is putting big bucks into the WSM line, so I suspect they'll be around for a while.

If I needed another weapon in that class, I think it would have to get serious attention. If I hunted elk with modern rifle, I'd sure look at it.

Sadly, both gun safes are already stuffed full, so I'll have to leave it to others to buy one...
