I do. for Salmon and Steelhead, I use 30lb braid. I used to use 20lb braid, but found the diameter was too thin for casting/ line management. I still think the 30lb is thin and often results in weird stuff happening within the spool. Primarily, line getting wrapped around itself/ caught. 40lb seems overkill (and potential for rod breakage), but wondering what folks of PP use?

My setup is Batum Curado 201SF 3/ 30lb Powerpro. I use Maxima Ultragreen as backer. My rod is a Loomis STR1165c. Typically use a 3/8 oz inline weight and a 24g DNE float.

Obviously I am pacifying my fishing needs with these gear questions.
