It doesn't say anything about finding the rub line and determining the direction the buck is working it. Earlier in the season (before the rut kicks in), I like to hunt as close to the bucks bedroom as I can without alerting him to my presence. Playin' the wind on the correct side of the rubline is key, if it's not right, DON'T hunt it.
