The Wildcat Steelhead Bonker's anti-C&R bill did not get its second reading yesterday. I just talked to the Secretary of the Senate, and the word from her is, and I quote:

"IT'S DEAD. IT WILL NOT BE SCHEDULED AGAIN."

I think that our participation in our legislative process made a difference this time. Let's make sure it's not the last time.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to make phone calls, send e-mails, write letters, attend hearings, testify, and educate lawmakers about the bill, and about our concerns about the fish, which were likely viewed as being represented by the Bonkers.
Hopefully they realize that the Bonkers are not the rule, but the exception.
