Well, I certainly wouldn't consider them 'must stop' locales ... but you're only going to have a few options on this route anyhow. You can try Bird Creek just outside of Anchorage ... be sure to bring your hard hat and protective eyewear ... or the Upper Kenai for a few early (depending upon your timing) silvers or late (again, depending upon your timing) sockeye, as well as some trout. Although later in the season, you'll still only have to just look for the other parked cars along the Upper Kenai to find the spots. Have Fun!
