Just about every "hole" in the islands fishes best on a certain tide, or under certain currents. While you might catch a fish or two in certain spots anytime during the day, if you're there under the right tides you'll get into the good bites. For the most part, the Hummer fishes best towards the end of the flood and through high slack. Generally, most of the Northshore also fishes the same way, so if you're in the Hummer and there's no bait, no fish, it's an easy run to Thompson or Raccoon, or ??. The Northshore generally produces good numbers through July, then peters out in August. You'll find Tony off the west side of San Juan in August.
