I was being ironic when I pointed out that a Navy SEAL, armed, needs a rent-a-cop to protect him...I mean, if he can't do it, who can?

I don't think anyone expects to be shot by anyone, anywhere, if they're not in a war zone.

I hope the next step in "the answer is ALWAYS more guns!" isn't "and they should always be held out in front of you with the safety off and your finger on the trigger so that you're always ready for the unexpected!".

What good does your gun do when it's strapped into your holster and the safety is on?
