Jeez ... pretty brave asking for advice and info about my competition!!!! Seriously, I can't tell ya much as it is new ... it is located right on the main drag in downtown Soldotna. If you're coming next week and don't have your exact trip choices with them set ... you'll be best off on Seward trips or fly-outs for silvers (the Kenai and Kasilof both will likely be pretty much devoid of them for about another ten days - both usually are the first week of August ... although the Kenai may get an extension on the king fishing dates ...) or for halibut (either Deep Creek or Homer based on next week's tides). Upper Kenai for trout / sockeye would also be a decent bet ... the lower end scokeye should be wound down for the most part by then.

Dress warm ... although today was nice, weather has been (and is supposed to be) cool (in the 50's for high's, high 30's and 40's for lows) and quite damp ... so make sure you bring your raingear ... good luck!
