As part of the on-going process for saving the Reiter Ponds Steelhead rearing facility on the Skykomish river, the recreational fishing community has agreed to provide volenteer help for fin clipping of the steelhead fry/smolts. This process is due to start on August 16th and run weekdays from 8:30am to 4:00pm for about three weeks or untill 300,000 fish are clipped. We need at least 12 volenteers per day. People who volenteer must be aware that this is somewhat tedious work. We need people who are committed to doing quality work, in the past there have been comments about poor quality clips and lack of production for time spent which causes more stress on the fish. Spread the word cuz 12 people a day for three weeks is going to be a scheduling nightmare. Anyone interested please call:
