Taking out US citizens who work with Al Qaeda is OK by me, since AQ exists for the sole purpose of destroying the US. That makes it a pro-active defensive action. Wow, I sound like Rumsfeld and Cheney . . . Using drones should be tempered by the collateral damage that can occur. We ain't winning many popularity points in the ME for that oversight. Drone strikes on US soil should be a no-go, since the US does have jurisdiction, can obtain search warrants, etc. The reasons for using drones in Yemen and Pakistan don't exist inside the US.

As for Dorner, I don't condone his action, but I wonder, what if his claims are true? What if LAPD is as corrupt as he says, and the dept. black-balled him and his career? Did he have anywhere else to turn? What would you do if the place you worked conspired to destroy your life and you ran out of appeals?
